Use Sentinel to Prevent Heartworm and Other Parasites in Your Dog
Preventing parasites in your pet is vital, as they can be very dangerous to his or her health. Sentinel is a medication containing a combination of Milbemycin oxime and Lufenuron that is used for the prevention of heartworm, which can cause major health problems in your pet and is potentially fatal. It can also be used to prevent flea population growth by preventing the development of flea eggs. Other parasites it helps control include roundworm, hookworm, and whipworm.
Sentinel can be safely given to dogs and puppies at least 4 weeks of age and with a body weight of at least 2 pounds. It can be given once a month year round.
